UK healthcare is the trading name of Bolton & District Hospital Saturday Council whose roots can be traced back to 1813 when the residents of Great and Little Bolton organised a public collection to raise money for the first 7-bed dispensary.
By 1877 an organisation was set up to raise the huge sum of £70,000 needed to build a new infirmary to meet the ever-increasing needs of the town. To fund the planned new building and the dispensary the town’s residents paid less than 1p a week from their wages on a Saturday and so Bolton & District Hospital Saturday Council was born.
As we continue to remain loyal to our roots, we still to this day operate from our offices in Bolton and through our trading style “UK Healthcare”, we are now one of the longest established health cash plan providers in the country.
In terms of product, we focus purely on providing market leading healthcare Cash Plan schemes, at a low cost and are extremely popular throughout a variety of sectors. As a fiercely independent healthcare cash plan provider, you can only obtain a plan by coming direct and we’d be delighted if you’d consider joining one of our schemes.
